Tianli Thermal Equipment Completes Build-Out of Its Standardized Manufacturing Base for Large Industrial Furnaces
In-house steel structure, welding, refractory and electrical assembly — backed by sectional pre-assembly and customer-witnessed factory acceptance testing.
XINXIANG, Henan, China — November 2024 — Tianli Thermal Equipment, a manufacturer of industrial heat treatment furnaces established in 2003, has completed the build-out of its standardized, self-operated manufacturing base. The facility now runs a complete in-house system covering steel-structure processing, welding and assembly, and complete-machine commissioning — providing, in the company’s words, a solid hardware guarantee for production of both standard furnace lines and large-size, heavy-duty custom furnaces serving the wind power, petrochemical, forging and casting industries.

A workshop-by-workshop production flow
The base is organized into functionally divided workshops: a sheet-metal processing workshop, a precision welding workshop, an electrical assembly workshop, and a dedicated pre-assembly and commissioning test area. These are supported by an independent technical innovation center that links R&D with production. Each workshop is responsible for a defined set of procedures — cutting and forming, structural welding, refractory installation, electrical integration and machine testing — which standardizes the entire production flow from raw material to finished machine.
Equipment for complete in-house processing
The workshops are equipped with CNC cutting machines, digital bending equipment, automatic welding systems, professional temperature-calibration instruments, NDT inspection tools, piping pressure-test benches and heavy-duty cranes. Core components including the furnace shell, bogie frame and air duct are manufactured in house rather than outsourced. According to the company, this approach minimizes outsourcing risks on quality and lead time, and allows strict control of dimensional tolerance, welding quality and structural rigidity.
Pre-assembly and factory verification before shipment
A dedicated pre-assembly zone handles large-scale industrial furnaces. For heavy-duty equipment such as large bogie hearth furnaces, sectional pre-assembly and full-machine linkage commissioning are completed before shipment, together with full-item functional tests covering the combustion system, the temperature control system and safety interlocks. Customer-witnessed Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) is available, and equipment is packed for delivery only after all performance indicators pass verification.
Furnaces are then split into standard sections under a modular design and packed with export-grade anti-corrosion and shockproof protection — an arrangement that optimizes ocean freight and reduces on-site assembly workload and construction lead time for customers.
Quality control across the full process
Quality control runs through the entire manufacturing process. Incoming-parts inspection is mandatory, and quality stop points are set at critical procedures including welding, refractory installation, piping pressure testing and electrical wiring. Patrol inspection is combined with special inspection, and work that fails one procedure is not allowed to flow to the next. Welders and commissioning operators hold valid certificates, and all inspection records are filed for full traceability of components and production activities.

Flexible capacity for standard and custom projects
Supported by stable capacity and flexible scheduling, the base handles both bulk orders for standard furnaces and custom-built projects with extra-large chamber dimensions and heavy load capacity. Project management covers the full cycle — engineering design, manufacturing, FAT, modular packing and shipment, on-site SAT commissioning and acceptance, operator training and after-sales service — with dedicated project teams supporting both domestic and overseas projects.
The company invites customers to visit the base and tour the innovation center, production workshops and pre-assembly test area to observe the manufacturing process on site.
