Tianli gas-fired trolley type heating furnace (also known as bogie hearth furnace) is a large industrial heat-treatment furnace fired by natural gas, city gas or LPG. It features a motorized rail-mounted car (trolley) that automatically rolls in and out of the heating chamber, with the furnace door lifting and the trolley moving in interlocked sequence. It is the standard furnace type for heavy metallurgical, casting and large-component heat-treatment industries.
Drawing on Tianli’s experience since 2003 and more than 200 national patents, the steel structure, refractory lining, gas combustion system, trolley traversing mechanism and full electrical control system are all designed and manufactured in-house. Widely used in military, aerospace, nuclear, pressure-vessel/head shell, boiler and hoisting-machinery industries. Available as standalone unit or multi-furnace production line, and exported to Russia, UAE (Dubai), Thailand, Vietnam, Oman and beyond since 2015.
The trolley travels on rails embedded in the workshop floor. Workpieces are loaded outside the furnace and enter/exit as one charge, then unloaded by overhead crane or forklift. Ideal for heavy, large and batch workpieces; loading capacity is customizable.
High-speed or self-recuperative burners with full proportional control, ignition flame monitoring, automatic air-fuel ratio and combustion safety interlocks. Lower operating cost than electric furnaces, especially for long soaking cycles in large chambers. Flue-gas heat can be recovered via heat exchanger to preheat combustion air and further reduce energy consumption.
Furnace lining combines high-strength castable refractory with lightweight insulating bricks for low heat storage and good insulation. Circulating fans plus optimized gas flow ensure a uniform temperature field, with multi-zone independent control to meet overall heat-treatment uniformity requirements for large workpieces.
The complete set automatically manages trolley travel, furnace-door lifting, burner firing, fan operation and temperature recording:
• HMI touch-screen with multiple stored recipes for annealing, normalizing, tempering and PWHT; one-click automatic process execution.
• Comprehensive safety interlocks: overtemperature protection, flame-failure shutdown, gasleakage alarm, trolley & door limits, overload and emergency stop.
• Automatic temperature-curve and event logging with data export, satisfying traceability requirements for military, nuclear and pressure-vessel projects.
• Key components from Schneider Electric, ABB, Siemens, Delta and Yudian (Xiamen), rated for harsh workshop environments with worldwide spare-part support.
Furnace size, loading capacity, working temperature, fuel type (natural gas / LPG / producer gas) and layout are all customizable. Optional accessories include exhaust system, combustion-air fan, heat exchanger and quenching mechanism for turnkey line delivery.
